She wasn't mourning. She was celebrating.

Miller texted me from the surveillance van: "It's showtime. Don't vomit."

I stood in front of the mirror in the hotel room Miller had booked. The woman looking back wasn't the sick, frail widow in thrift store rags. I was wearing a sharp, charcoal business suit, tailored to perfection. My hair was pulled back. My eyes were clear.
